Located approximately 10 miles west/northwest of downtown Las Vegas, The Summerlin and Desert Shores area offers residents a lifestyle which frequently makes it unnecessary for them to visit other areas of the city. The area is more elevated than the rest of the valley, and as a result, Summerlin and Desert Shores often experience slightly lower temperatures and better air quality than other neighborhoods.

This section of our site covers these two communities, plus adjacent communities such as South Shores. In addition, we have included the extensive Lake Mead business and retail corridor which runs from the I-95 interchange and has grown westward toward Summerlin
